Glashütte master watchmaker Alfred Helwig is still known today for his ingenious development from the year 1920: the Flying Tourbillon. In contrast to classic tourbillons mounted on both sides, Helwig's delicate construction is cantilevered (mounted on one side only). The blued-steel tip on the tourbillon cage serves as the second hand. The PanoLunarTourbillon impresses thanks to the asymmetric layout of its dial: the hour and minute display and the Flying Tourbillon are positioned on a vertical axis within the left half of the dial. The Panorama Date and moon phase are located on the right side, which results in a harmonious overall appearance. The hand-crafted dial shimmers in a warm silver hue and has hour and minute hands in gold as well as gold-plated applied hour indexes.
