The Watchmaking Industry’s Most Anticipated Event

One of the highest-esteemed events in the timekeeping world, Watches & Wonders is returning to an in-person format for 2022. The trade fair will open its doors in Geneva, Switzerland on March 30th for a multi-day event, offering industry leaders across retail, technology and journalism an opportunity to discover new styles and innovations for the upcoming year.

Watches & Wonders sets a standard for watch fairs, with a level of service beyond compare. Professionals are welcomed to meet, discuss and inspire, while VIP guests are given an opportunity to marvel at watchmaking and its countless wonders.

This year is the first physical edition of Watches & Wonders since 2019, ready to welcome a guest list of 38 luxury brands, including Rolex, Patek Philippe, Cartier, TAG Heuer and more.

A Watch Fair Unlike Any Other

With the exception of its online editions in 2020 and 2021, Watches & Wonders has taken place in Geneva every year since its inception. The notable trade show is organized by the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie. For several years, the event was referred to as Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH), rebranded to Watches & Wonders in 2019 for a name that encapsulates the fascination and awe found in luxury timekeeping.

First established in 1991, SIHH was created to offer an exclusive trade show dedicated solely to fine watchmaking. While other renowned horological trade fairs such as Baselworld also showcase jewelry, Watches & Wonders is unique as it centers solely on timekeeping.

Throughout its three-decade history, Watches & Wonders has continuously brought together industry leaders for an intense week of reveals and releases. Thousands of like-minded enthusiasts from around the world join together to observe milestone events in the world of watchmaking. In 2019, SIHH attracted over 23,000 visitors. The fair now welcomes guests both in-person at the salon or digitally through a dedicated platform, allowing for a more versatile and universal experience.

New Innovations Revealed At Watches & Wonders 2022

The 38 exhibiting brands at the 2022 edition of Watches & Wonders will include Baume & Mercier, Cartier, Chanel, Hublot, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Montblanc, Oris, Panerai, Patek Philippe, Piaget, Rolex, TAG Heuer, TUDOR, Ulysse Nardin and Vacheron Constantin, among others, with several of these high-end labels expected to unveil their latest innovations during the week-long event.

In addition to releases of new product and technological inventions, all of the brands included in Watches & Wonders will showcase new styles and trends. This year, we are expecting to see smaller case diameters, splashes of color and vintage inspirations. An athleisure-inspired trend, blending sporty accents with fashionable touches is expected to gain momentum in this edition of the trade fair.
