This stainless steel COSC-certified watch is your companion for all occasions. Legible white numerals coated with Super-LumiNova stand out against the unique burgundy minute scale to create a striking dial design at any sea level. Boasting exceptional form and function, the uni-directional rose-gold bezel allows divers to measure elapsed time. The watch's size and sleek black rubber strap cement this Superocean as a stylish diving tool underwater and onshore.
This COSC-certified Superocean has a stainless-steel case and bright blue dial reminiscent of a crystal blue sea on a sunny day. The compact 36 mm timepiece features a stark white rubber strap and white detailing that highlight the fresh blue of the dial. Its unidirectional bezel is easily legible so that divers can measure the amount of air left in their dive tank. This Bucherer Exclusive sports watch is ideal for relaxing at the beach or tracking your depth under the sea.
The 44 mm model is a COSC-certified calibre that also features the striking blue dial. Its sophisticated black bezel sets this dive watch apart from the rest of the collection. The large diameter of the stainless-steel case and white markers coated Super-LumiNova ensure high legibility in the boardroom or boat diving. By combining the perks of the case design with the sleek black rubber strap, Breitling has offered a freshly styled dive watch that is useful in every situation.
Breitling has produced professional-grade sports watches since 1884. Esquire heralded the brand's breadth of expertise and style by calling it "a complete lifestyle brand, producing highly sought-after and desirable watches that appeal equally to style-conscious and sporty audiences." The original Superocean watch was Breitling's first non-pilot watch and has been an industry icon since its creation.
As aquatic sports and deep-sea exploration took off in the late 1950s, Breitling answered the industry's need for a technically advanced dive watch that could withstand deep waters and was legible in and out of the water. A dive watch's movement must be sophisticated and water resistant, so Breitling fashioned a case that maintained water resistance up to 200 meters, which was unheard of then. Applying its chronograph movement to a water-resistant body resulted in a minimalist watch that appealed to stylish beachgoers and seasoned divers alike.
Over the years, the collection has included other notable models like the Superocean Heritage and the Superocean II. Specifically, the Slow Motion model was the inspiration for Breitling's collaboration with Bucherer. The original model was a watchmaking marvel of the 1960s. It enabled divers to track their diving duration with the chronograph hand and the minute track on the dial instead of a minute recorder. This new movement uncluttered the dial, making the Slow Motion more legible underwater with an enduring aesthetic.
In 2022, Breitling released a new collection of Superocean Automatic watches that harkened back to the Slow Motion style. The new collection of automatic watches didn't offer the chronograph movement or Slow Motion caliber, but it preserved the original Slow Motion's signature thick minute track and boxy minute hand. Following the success of the rerelease, Breitling has created three unique limited-edition pieces, exclusively for Bucherer, inspired by the pioneering days of commercial diving.Bucherer is an internationally respected watch retailer with a reputation that inspires its peers.
