Watches and Wonders 2024 draws to a close this week after a plethora of exciting new releases. Luxury watch brands from across the industry have gathered in Geneva to celebrate the artistry and craftsmanship behind some of the most impressive watches in the world, as well as display their watchmaking achievements over the past year. The event has offered plenty to impress, including supermodel Gisele Bündchen arriving to celebrate the IWC Schaffhausen's new Portugieser releases.

As each brand displays its best, Tourneau | Bucherer has compiled a list of new releases to be excited about:

Panerai Submersible Luna Rossa Collection

Panerai has long held a special attachment to the sea, and its latest offerings celebrate its illustrious history of racing watches. The watch brand has collaborated with the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, the Italian sailboat racing team competing in the America's Cup. As an official sponsor of the team since 2019, this partnership has culminated in a new line of Panerai Submersibles inspired by Luna Rossa. New additions to this collection include:

Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa Ti-Ceramitech™:
This Submersible is made with Ti-Ceramitech, a material developed by Panerai that is 44% lighter than still while still being up to 10 times tougher than traditional ceramic. The material is naturally a distinctive blue color, fitting for a stylish yet practical elite sailing watch.

Submersible Tourbillon GMT Luna Rossa Experience Edition:
Panerai introduces the first Submersible 45mm with the P.2015/T mechanical caliber, including the patented Panerai Tourbillon. Owners of this limited edition timepiece are also treated to an exclusive America's Cup finals experience in Barcelona with the Luna Rossa team.

Submersible GMT Luna Rossa Titanio PAM01507:
40% lighter than steel and 60% harder, this striking blue ceramic watch is a boutique exclusive timepiece and a symbol of elite performance.

TAG Heuer Monaco Split Seconds Chronograph Watch

After spending a year celebrating the success of the Carrera collection, TAG Heuer has shifted its focus during Watches and Wonders 2024. The brand's presentation included new Carreras, but this year's standout is the square-cased Monaco. The Monaco collection was made famous by Steve McQueen and has been one of the brand's most iconic styles. It has a unique shape and historical integration of bright colors that improve the watch's legibility and overall style.

This year, TAG Heuer has reworked the Monaco to its Haute Horlogerie workshop, which has developed some of the world's most accurate instruments in the world of sports. The result is the Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph. This new chronograph pays tribute to the original 1969 model with the classic circle dial inside the square case but updates the style with superior materials, like the lightweight grade-5 titanium case and the new Calibre TH81-00, with a Rattrapante Chronograph, also known as a split-seconds function. This function allows the chronograph to track two timed events at once. This technical feat is a natural progression in a history of excellence for the iconic Monaco Chronograph. Additional new releases from the brand include:

Carrera Chronograph:
The popular "Panda" dial returns to TAG Heuer with this new Carrera Chronograph in a 39mm stainless steel case. The gorgeous glass box design improves ergonomics and readability, creating a functional and fashionable racing watch.

Carrera Chronograph Skipper:
Tag Heuer adds to its collection of sailing watches with this distinctive teal Skipper, which recalls the deck of the Intrepid, the America's Cup boat that inspired the original model in 1968.

Carrera Date:
Precious materials, like 18k Rose Gold, Mother-of-Pearl, and diamonds, elevate the Carrera Date, a gorgeous dress watch with a timeless design.

IWC Schaffhausen Portugieser Eternal Calendar Watch

As mentioned in Tourneau | Bucherer's recap of the first few days, the IWC Schaffhausen's Portugieser collection made a statement with its new elegant color scheme, which references the stages of the setting sun. However, that isn't the only thing about this new collection worth noting.

In pursuit of a movement that can claim eternal precision, IWC Schaffhausen has engineered a secular perpetual calendar for the first time. This new technical marvel automatically accounts for the leap year exceptions in the Gregorian calendar. The Portugieser Eternal Calendar watch is so precise it is accurate for a period of 400 years. Even the moon phase complication, the Double Moon™ Display, is so precise that IWC boasts it will only deviate by one day after 45 million years. With these complications, the Eternal Calendar watch certainly lives up to its name.

This incredible feat of a calendar watch is only available in a white platinum case, while the following colors are introduced to the rest of the Portugieser collection:

Horizon Blue:
Inspired by the early afternoon light, Horizon Blue is a soft, romantic color complemented by a light blue calfskin strap or bracelet that matches the white gold case.

Dune:
Mimicking the early evening atmosphere, DUNE has a soft golden dial, a black alligator strap and a white gold case.

Obsidian:
This colorway's black dial, gold-plated hands, and dial markers evoke the golden lights of a bustling city coming to life against a night sky. It features a black alligator strap and an 18-carat gold case.

Silver Moon:
Finally, the silver moon colorway is the final representation of the day's end, with a dial color as white as the moon's surface and decorated with silver-plated moon dials.
